ART in the PARK: Taino Night Glow

an installation by ARRRTADDICT featuring El Yunque rainforest-inspired plants, abstract flowers, and whimsical patterned shapes that transform into a glowing, Avatar-like experience at night.
Within these shapes, one of ARRRTADDICT’s Taino warrior women is depicted, distinguished by her signature leopard print. ARRRTADDICT welcomes viewers into this immersive experience, inviting them to connect with the vibrant theme of Caribbean Indigenous culture and resilience woven throughout the installation.

About ARRRTADDICT
Lisette Correa, better known as ARRRTADDICT, is a Puerto Rican artist from Ft. Lauderdale, living in Atlanta, GA. She focuses on creating art that portrays the vibrancy of Puerto Rican and African American culture with loose lines, bold typography and bright colors. Her ARRRT exudes positivity while embracing culture, spirituality, healing and evoking the change our community needs to be unified and treated equally.

The opening celebration was an evening of vibrant art and music inspired by the beauty of Puerto Rico’s El Yunque rainforest. ARRRTADDICT’s glowing art installation provided an immersive experience for viewers that invited them to meander into the colorful, luminous wooden forest she created to honor Caribbean Indigenous culture, and featured a special live dance performance by Erica Rahola, accompanied by music from Chunky Sounds and DJ Dell Harris.

This program is designed to create a stronger connection between the community and the park, enhancing the cultural vibrancy of our urban space.
